301 Snatches

Thanks for signing up for the video series. This first video serves just as an introduction. I’ll be giving you plenty of tips in the next few videos in the series.

But here you get to see it in action – 301 Snatches in 10 minutes! Not the most fun feat of strength and endurance to watch but be sure to at least check out everything else in the video.

Stay tuned for the next video where I talk more about speed and what is the best snatch style to use…

Note: Regarding the Form

Wow.

There was a backlash regarding my form on the snatch in the first video. People are hating on me because of it.

I guess I should have better explained myself. I take fault for that.

I am not a competitive kettlebell lifter. In the sport a complete lockout must be achieved. Standard form in the kettlebell snatch also calls for a complete lockout. This is completely understandable and something I recommend doing.

However, I was going for a goal of breaking 300 reps. In order to go this fast the lockout MUST be minimized. You just don’t have time to do otherwise.

Understand his is filmed from the front angle so its hard to see how he cuts the reps short there.

What I am after is the speed and conditioning. Getting the kettlebell overhead close to a lockout takes just as much strength, endurance and explosiveness as going to full lockout.

Rest assured this is not the only form I use, but it is for what is a light bell to me, the 24kg, going at max pace. When working with a 32kg bell I do achieve a full lockout for each rep. You’ll see that soon.

In strength,
Logan Christopher
